Smooth and Skeletal Muscle

OBJECTIVES FOR THIS EXERCISE: After completing the laboratory
exercises for muscle, you should be able to:
- Identify smooth and skeletal muscle in microscopic
sections, both of isolated muscle and organs containing these
tissues.
- Identify the neuromuscular junction (motor end plate) and the muscle spindle as
they are seen in the light microscope.
