Special Senses: The Eye and Ear

OBJECTIVES FOR THIS EXERCISE: After completing the laboratory
exercises on the eye and the ear, you should be able to:

Identify the tunics of the eye.

Identify the various structures of the normal eye and the ocular
adnexa in the light microscope.

Identify the 10 layers of the sensitive retina.
Identify the different parts of the inner ear, and the components
of the hearing apparatus as they are seen in the light microscope.
