Comments: This is a hands on externship. Students should be able to handle a horse competently before applying. Student is expected to ask questions and have a basic understanding of client relations. Dr. routinely allows students to perform rectal palpations, pass stomach tubes, suture, etc... with the expectation that they will be proficient at these procedures by the end of their rotation.

Emergency Duties: Would be expected to accompany Drs. on some of the night and weekend emergencies (within reason)
Contact Time-Frame: One month's notice would be best, but the more notice the better. We can probably accomodate students on shorter notice.
