Emergency Duties: Days are long-student is welcome, but not expected to accompany Dr. on night time and weekend emergencies

Contact Time-Frame: Year-round is ok, as is short notice.

Comments: This is a hands on externship. Students should be able to handle a horse competently before applying. Student is expected to ask questions and have a basic understanding of client relations. Dr. routinely allows students to perform rectal palpations, pass stomach tubes, suture, etc... with the expectation that they will be proficient at these procedures by the end of their rotation.
