GENERAL COURSE DESCRIPTION
Contemporary topics in veterinary pharmacology, including premarket safety
studies, information included on drug labels, and the contribution of
pharmaceutical preparation to drug use and effectiveness. Factors contributing
to individual responses to drugs, including route of administration,
homeostatic factors, and clearance. Issues in drug therapy, including optimal
extra-label drug use, drug-induced behavior modification, and indications for
multiple drug therapy.
